Trace is designed with a "utility-first" philosophy. We only collect data that is strictly necessary to provide our service.
- Lead Capture: We store your email address when you request access. This is used solely for waitlist management.
- Gmail API: We use read-only access to scan for financial metadata (receipts, subscription confirmations). We do not read personal correspondence.
- We do not sell your data. Every byte of information extracted from your inbox is stored securely and is used only to generate your financial ledger.
- You can request total data deletion at any time by emailing the founder.
